Firstly where are you from and where do you live now?

I grew up in the northern part of India and I’m currently working in New Delhi.

\What is your background in Textile Art?

My influence towards Textile Art came from my mother and grandmother who used to make mats and quilts from waste clothes. I further explored this medium during my master’s degree which I completed from College Of Arts, Delhi.

What techniques do you use?

I commonly use cut and paste techniques followed by detailing and stitching.

How do you describe your art?

I would like to describe my work as a sustainable representation of art through materials that are mostly neglected by the society.

How do you create a piece?

Creating a piece starts with collecting fabrics from different people which I further develop into a well thought work of art.

How long does it roughly take to make one piece?

A bigger piece takes approximately 80-90 days depending on the number of colours used.

How can people purchase your work?

My artworks can be bought through art galleries and/or directly through emails.
