Art textiles in shop windows

Pop into any gallery in any city and find fine art in the painting sense, but it is always harder to find textile art. This is why it was such a lovely surprise today to see some fabulous textiles in a nearby mall. I’m currently living in Kuala Lumpur and almost did a double take when I saw this colourful macrame in the window of Louis Vuitton. Then opposite was hanging threads in Dior. The threads are surely inspired by the wonderful Nike Shroeder whom we featured a while ago, if you didn’t read her interview back then check in out now. In the meantime hopefully we’ll see much more fabulous textiles when you lease expect it.
